God has given every man a spiritual need. That need can only be filled by a personal relationship with Him.
This relationship begins by recieving Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
Here is what you need to know...
Salvation, the foundation to a relationship with God, is not complicated nor does it cost you anything.
The Bible tells us that there are some simple truths that we must know and understand before we can experience salvation.
- We must understand that every person on earth is a sinner and as such can never good enough to EARN salvation.
Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."
John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
- We must understand that God is just and He must judge sin. There must be a payment for sin and as sinners we must pay for our sin.
Romans 6:23a "For the wages (or payment) of sin is death..."
Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
So we see not only a death of the body, but eternal separation from God in a terrible place called hell.
- So far we haven't read much good news, but here we begin to see hope. Jesus paid the price or payment of our sin for every person already.
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:8 & 9 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."
- So how do we accept this free gift? We do not buy it. We do not join a certain church or denomination. We simply ask Him for it and trust Him to save us.
Romans 10:9, 10, 13 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you have read and understood the truths above and you wish to accept God's gift of salvation, please take a moment and simply ask Him.
How do you ask Him? Simply bow your head and pray, trusting that He will save you.
